Very Dry

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Very dry and warm today in Glen Coe. Quite a few teams out on Centurion and Minus One Buttress also, by all accounts.

Hi Alan

The flower is Dwarf Cornel

They seemed to have just flowered, with the heat and sun no doubt! There are massess of them on the Easians last week Cheers Gary (Tarmachan Mountaineering).

Thanks for that Gary. These were on the descent from Buachaille Etive Mor in Coire na Tulaich.

Dry rock in Glen Coe

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

A very warm and dry day today with plenty of rock climbs from Crowberry Ridge to Grooved Arete and January Jigsaw plus Agag’s Groove to name but a few. No midges where we were either. Tower Ridge by all accounts still has some gnarly old ice left on it so crampons at least might be a good addition to your rucsac for the time being.
